MERIT CROSS

The Airborne Merit Cross is a decoration of the European Paratroopers Association, which can be awarded to military personnel and civilians alike. This award was created by EPA President Giulio Festa in October 2016 and instituted by the the Board of Directors of the Association. Conferred by the President to merit those members who distinguished themselves for meritorious service, continuous commitment or financial support to the Association's activities. It can be conferred to non-members of the association as well. It is the intent this prestigious award be given only for extraordinary support of the Organization that goes well beyond of regular service or fulfillment of responsibilities. The service to the Association must be so outstanding as to deserve this special honor.

 

Description:

Oxidized bronze cross pattée with eagle wings, parachute and crossed swords, and motto 'Pro Meritum'. The cross come with 37 mm, blu ribbon with yellow central stripe.
