4TH WINTER STORM

Saturday, 18 February 2017 00:00
The 4th Operation Winter Storm, our traditional winter jump exercise held last January 2016 in Slovakia, was an amazing opportunity for active duty, reserve and retired military personnel to take part in an advanced winter military parachute jump exercise, to increase their airborne skills and to earn foreign airborne wings. The aim of this exercise is to familiarize our members with the parachute jump methods, techniques and tactics used in extreme-cold weather airborne operations by the NATO Airborne and Special Operation Forces. EPA members, coming from Slovakia, Norway, United Kingdom, Italy and Greece, had the great opportunity to performe parachute static line descents out a Mil Mi-8 (NATO code name: Hip) Helicopter with current operational military round canopy parachute systems enjoying the unique landscape of the Tatra muntains and the absolute BEST international military airborne training available on the European Continent.
