EPA's 2nd Basic Airborne Course 2015.On 17-21 July 2015 the EPA’s Airborne School have conducted in Slovakia the 2nd EPA Basic Airborne Course 2015. Our Basic Airborne Course is designed to give our members, who are not yet airborne qualified, the opportunity to qualify as military parachutists and earn their airborne wings. During the 5 days of training our students coming from Sweden have received an intensive full-immersion theoretical and pratical airborne training, in accordance to military standards, by our highly qualified airborne instructors and jump masters coming from NATO's airborne forces. During the course the students have acquired airborne capabilities, skills and knowledge required to execute parachute jump operations with military round canopy parachute. Static line techniques and tactics, parachute jump procedures, behaviour below the parachute, malfunctions, emergency landings and parachute landing falls was emphasized. All the students have performed the required parachute static line descents with current operational military round canopy parachute systems. At the end of the course, upon completion of all requirements, the new Parachutists were presented with their parachute wings.
