EPA's Basic Airborne Course.On 1-5 of June the EPA’s Military Training Center - Airborne Division have conducted in Czech Republic the 1st EPA Basic Airborne Course 2014 exclusively reserved to the Danish Armed Forces personnel. Our Basic Airborne Course is designed to give our members, who are not yet airborne qualified, the opportunity to qualify as military parachutists and earn their airborne wings. During the 5 days of training the soldiers of 2nd Platoons of the Royal Danish Hussars have received an intensive full-immersion theoretical and pratical airborne training, in accordance to military standards, by our highly qualified airborne instructors and jump masters coming from NATO's airborne forces. During the course the students have acquired airborne capabilities, skills and knowledge required to execute parachute jump operations with military round canopy parachute. Static line techniques and tactics, parachute jump procedures, behaviour below the parachute, malfunctions, emergency landings and parachute landing falls was emphasized. All the 15 students have performed 3 parachute static line descents with current operational military round canopy (steering-gear) parachute systems. Upon completion of all requirements students were awarded the Czech and the European Wings.
