Commemorative Jumps Event. On 22-26 August for the very first time the European Paratroopers Association successfully conducted a memorable commemorative jump to honour the memory of Axis Airborne Forces during WWII. Throughout the World a number of parachute groups are active in making commemorative parachute jumps to honor Allied paratroopers of World War II. Every year they organize events to commemorate the D-Day and the Market Garden airborne landings and jump at a number of air shows. There is nothing like that on the other side… The side of the defeated, the Axis, so the European Paratroopers Association has decided to fill this gap organizing a commemorative event named OPERATION AXIS EAGLES Jump into the History - Honor the Fallen, to honoring the men who jumped into Airborne Forces of the Axis nations. The event initially planned to be held at l’aérodrome de La Ferté-Alais in France it was then held at Partizanske airfield in Slovakia. Our Comrades who had traveled from all over the Europe to do not miss this great event, performed parachute jumps in WWII German and Italian uniforms and participated in a display, as well as in a conference dedicated to the Axis Paratroopers.
