8TH OPERATION WINTER STORM

QUICK EVENT OVERVIEW

The OPERATION WINTER STORM is an advanced military parachute jump exercise. The aim of this exercise is to familiarize our members with the parachute jump methods, techniques and tactics used in extreme-cold weather airborne operations by the NATO Airborne and Special Operation Forces. The exercise is held by our Airborne School and it's modeled after Special Operations training programs. You will receive a pre-jump training briefing in accordance to military standards by highly qualified airborne instructors and jump masters - with years of verifiable real-world experience - coming from NATO and friend countries' Airborne Forces. You will learn the advanced static line parachuting techniques to improve your airborne knowledge and skills. During this exercise you will performe non-tactical and tactical parachute static line descents out rotary-wings and/or fixed-wings aircraft, with and without individual equipment and weapon (dummy gun) placed inside containers, with current operational military round canopy parachute systems. To promote the airborne brotherhood and the comradeship among soldiers of different nations, and to give you the exciting opportunity to earn a set of foreign jump wings, we have also included to the exercise an international wings exchange event with jump master teams from several nations. Please note that this exercise is open only to our airborne qualified members. Members, who are not yet airborne qualified must pass our Basic Airborne Course before registering for this exercise. AWARDS & WINGS EXCHANGE

Once you have performed the required jumps, you will be awarded with European (EPA) Parachutist Wings. If eligible, after you have performed the required jumps, as true wings exchange you may be awarded with different Airborne Wings (official parachutist badges with respective certificates) by the host Unit’s responsible Training Officers. Jumpmasters from many nations like the USA, Italy and Ukraine and more nations may join to award their national wings. The airborne qualified members, interested to earn a set of foreign jump wings have to contact us for details.
