1ST OPERATION SEA EAGLE

Advanced military parachute airborne water jump exercise.

The European Paratroopers 1st OPERATION SEA EAGLE was successfully accomplished! Our fellow Paratroopers and international Jumpmasters guest enjoyed this fantastic days of training and jumps!
The aim of this exercise was familiarize our members with the parachute jump methods, techniques and tactics used in airborne water jump operations by the NATO Airborne and Special Operation Forces. The exercise was held by our Airborne School and it's modeled after Special Operations training programs to give European Paratroopers an opportunity to improve proficiency in water landings and gives their Families and local community a chance to see the European Paratroopers train and jump into Ogosta lake in the Montana area.
Water jumps are an important aspect to miltary parachuting training as they validate the safety training and procedures of jumping in an environment where water is present. European Paratroopers members received a pre-jump training briefing and a wet silk training in accordance to military standards by highly qualified airborne instructors and jump masters - with years of verifiable real-world experience - coming from NATO and friend countries' Airborne Forces. They learned the advanced static line parachuting techniques to improbe their airborne knowledge and skills. During the exercise, they practiced swim underwater as part of deliberate water airborne operation familiarization training before performing intentional water jump out of a AN-2 Antonov (NATO codename Colt) Aircraft, into Ogosta lake, with current operational military round canopy parachute systems.
To promote the airborne brotherhood and the comradeship among soldiers of different nations, and to give you the exciting opportunity to earn a set of foreign jump wings, we also included to the exercise an international wings exchange event with jump master teams from several nations.
