EPA AWARDS

In a ceremony at the War Volunteers Headquarters in Turin, Italy, on February 17th, Italian Army Reserve, LTC Giorgio Graziano, received the European Paratroopers Merit Cross. The award was presented by the President of the European Paratroopers Association (EPA), LTC Giulio Festa, for meritorious service and continuous commitment to the Association's activities. “The Merit Cross is the highest EPA award given to a member or non-member who has distinguished himself within the association,” said President Festa "Today the European Parartoopers recognized the deeds of one of our own, who clearly demonstrated that the service to the Association can be outstanding" added Festa. "The European Paratroopers is the epitome of the ‘Airborne Brotherhood' and I am proud to serve with each of these outstanding Paratroopers” said Lieutenant Colonel Graziano. Italian Army LTC Roberto Pintus, National President of the War Volunteers Association (ANVG) attended the award ceremony. He said: “We are proud to collaborate with your Organization, and we stepped up and were able to assist.” “Our forces can work very well together. We can learn a great deal from each other.” added Pintus. EPA members and friends as well as veterans from both the War Volunteers (ANVG) and Special Forces (FNAI) organizations attended the ceremony.
